With this tool crystals can be arranged equidistant on a curve. The size of the crystals is controlled either ascending or via a support curve. If unsymmetrical crystals are used also the rotation can be modified.
Dialog Description
Parameter:
Security Distance: Here you can define the security distance between the crystals.
Crystal Depth: The depth of all crystals can be set.
Size Control: There are three types of size control:
– Increasing size: the size increases from the start of the curve to the end considering the weight of every crystal size.
– Support curve: the size is controlled by a support curve which describes the hull of the crystal pave.
– Random size: the size is chosen randomly considering the weight of every crystal size.
Crystals: In this panel you must define all crystals in all sizes and colors which can be used by the simulation. The “Set” of crystals can be stored with the button on the right and restored with the drop down list. To add crystals double click on the availability chart in the Swarovski Components
Rotation: In this panel the rotation at the start and at the end of the curve can be modified.
Color: In this panel the color at the start and the end of the curve can be set.
Mode: There are two type of coloring modes:
– Linear interpolation: the color will linear interpolate from the start color to the end color.
– Random colors: the colors will be chosen randomly from the available colors from the crystal set.
Pip: In this panel the creation, the position and the size of the pips can be controlled.
Enable Pips: Switch if pips should be generated.
Pip Diameter: Diameter of the generated pips.
Pip Height: Height of the generated pips.
Pip Positioning Angle: Angle at which position the pip should be generated between two crystals. 0° would be in the middle between two crystals.
Control:
The preview button refreshes the preview of the crystals. Also with pressing this button the randomly generated colors and sizes will recalculated again.
With the bake button the crystals and the pips will be generated.
