New Feature Release 21.1
Physics Simulation
This new tool provides a realistic physical motion simulation within the Rhino JDS without the need of having any experience. Any user now can simulate jewelry with Swarovski crystal components or any other geometry. Currently supported are static bodies (not moving objects like a table or a model of a hand) and dynamic rigid bodies (moving objects).
As it is shown in the movie below there is only the selection of the prepared objects needed and in some cases (like shown in the movie) a few parameters have to be adjusted to generate a valid simulation.
Any position can be used after the simulation is done to move all bodies to the new simulated position or to generate a full copy of all objects and crystal components.
For more information please visit the documentation here Physics Simulation
Remark: The movie is in real time except the part of the fully automated preparation of the objects.
In this second movie the interactive movement of dynamic bodies is shown. This feature makes it possible to place or move the bodies during the simulation so that the placement looks more realistic.
It is done very intuitive by drag and drop in any Rhino 3D view.
Remark: The movie is in real time except the part of the fully automated preparation of the objects.
