Rhino command: SwClipBoard
The Advanced Clipboard is another dockable Rhino panel with advanced clipboard functionality. Within the clipboard folders of Rhino files can be accessed and maintained to give you a fast visual access to your 3D snipped library. With additional preview images, file details, favorite folders and drag&drop support it is very convenient to work with the clipboard.
Add Favorite: To access folders and file shares more easily you can add your 3d Rhino file snippet folder to your clipboard as “Favorite” like a quick access. With this there can be as many as you need and they can also be removed later with the context menu.
Icon/List: The view can be switched between Icon View and Detailed List View. In Icon View there are bigger thumbnails but in Detaild List View you got a size and the last edited user.
Refresh: This refresh's the view. This is needed if the folder is altered outside of Rhino.
Crumbbar: The bread crumb bar shows you the path of the current view. To go back to the parent folder or to the Favorites just click the Crumb Bar on the specific folder or at the beginning on “Favorites”.
Context Menu:
Remove Favorite: Removes this favorite entry from the clipboard.
Open in Explorer: Opens the folder in the Windows Explorer.
After entering a Favorite folder by clicking on it the content of the folder is shown. Rhino files will be shown with the preview image. To add a Rhino 3D snippet file into the document you can either drag&drop it into a 3D view or with the context menu.
Context Menu:
Add to Document: This will import the Rhino file into the current document.
Delete on Share: This will delete the Rhino file on the file share permanently.
Add to Clipboard: To add objects to the selected clipboard, right click in the free space in the clipboard window and select Add to Clipboard
. Rhino will ask you for a filename to export the geometry. If no Rhino objects are selected, everything will be exported and stored in the 3D Rhino file.
